SUMMARY:Leaves into Flowers
DESCRIPTION:Learn to make two different leaves and a vine of leaves using wired and unwired ribbon. Then take the same processes used to make those leaves to make flowers and buds\, including a lily\, poinsettia\, and chrysanthemum. \nPREREQUISITES: Students should have basic hand-sewing skills: securing thread\, running stitch\, backstitch\, etc. \nKit: $15\, please bring cash \nKit Contents: \n\n         Ribbons\,\n         Crinoline\,\n         Cardboard ribbon ruler\,\n         10 of my favorite silk pins\,\n         Printed instructions (or softcopy\, if requested)\n         Printed list of sources for ribbons and patterns (or softcopy\, if requested)\n\n Tools and Materials to Bring: \n\n         Basic sewing kit\n         Sewing pins.\n         Needles.  I like milliners’\, but any medium-sized needle will work.\n         Fabric scissors\n         Craft scissors\n         White and medium green thread. I like quilters’ thread\, but any strong thread works well.\n         Straight edge like a 6” ruler.\n         FrayCheck\n         Two different colored permanent ink writing pens.\n         Pen and paper for notes.\n         Magnification device (optional)
