This fine linen table set consists of placemats and napkins, each placemat and napkin pair embroidered with different Renaissance musician figures—a noblemen and noblewomen in courtly garb, all playing different, distinctly European Renaissance instruments: harp, timbrel (tambourine), lute, cittern, etc.
Each piece of linen, as well as each embroidered musician figure, is bordered in embroidered flowers, recognizeable as Lily-of-the-Valley, etc.
Also interesting are the pair of preservation boxes. The front panel drops forward when the lid is removed, and a piece of card separates each table set stored within.
